'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year agreement he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the initial important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead
