Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
